DOUGLAS
NYBACK
ACTING

A full brand identity overhaul and pitch deck for DNA | Douglas Nyback Acting — one of North America's leading on-camera acting coaches. The engagement covered a complete visual rebrand moving away from a dated multi-symbol logo and corporate blue palette, a premium media and speaker pitch deck designed to secure private school bookings, speaking engagements, and podcast partnerships, and a three-course visual system for his Kajabi product suite.

Challenge

The personal brand coaching space defaults to two modes: motivational poster energy or sterile corporate credibility. DNA needed neither. Douglas Nyback is a working actor, a producer with sixteen feature films, and a coach whose clients book series regular roles on major network television. The challenge was building a brand that could hold all of that — cinematic enough to reflect the world he works in, authoritative enough to open institutional doors, and human enough to make an actor trust him with their career.

Process

Started with the logo — identifying why the original mark was failing. Three competing symbols, no hierarchy, no emotional anchor. The solution was reduction: a new wordmark built on a heavy condensed grotesque that reads like a title card, and an abstract double helix mark that carries the DNA concept in pure geometry. From there, a three-color system emerged — Curtains, Spotlight, Script — named after the physical world of performance and rooted in black, electric yellow, and warm off-white.

The pitch deck was built as a visual and strategic document simultaneously — cinematic photography, script page textures, archival graphic devices, and editorial typography working together to position Douglas as a premium speaker and media partner. Once the brand language was established, it extended into a full course cover system for his three Kajabi products: each cover distinct in energy, unified in bloodline. Book It as the open door. The Development Track as the room behind it. One-On-One Coaching as the person who takes you there.

Outcome

A brand that moved from template to point of view. The DNA identity now operates as a cohesive system across pitch materials, digital products, social content, and brand extensions — with enough depth to scale into merch, events, and physical touchpoints without losing coherence. Douglas's response after the first presentation: "We ride."

By The Numbers

3 program covers redesigned under one visual system
15 editorial carousel slides developed across three courses
3 color names that double as brand language — Curtains, Spotlight, Script
2 wordmark variants — primary and expressive — for two different contexts
1 pitch deck built to open institutional and media doors
1 brand identity. Zero compromise.

The acting coaching industry is crowded with faces and promises. DNA was designed to be the one that looks like it belongs on a marquee.
